In research trials at N.D.S.U. Carrington Research Ext. Center
Trical 2700 and TOPII were the top 2 yielders out of 36 entries.
TOPII Forage Mix consists of Trical® 2700 Forage Triticale, and Forage Peas.
TOPII is an annual crop.
Planting: As early as possible in Spring. Also in Mid
August to early September for Fall Forage.
Yield: 3.92 ton per acre @ 15% moisture (at
tests conducted at NDSU Carrington Research Ext.)
Seeding Rate: 100# per acre with alfalfa, 150# per
acre as primary forage crop.
Seed Depth: 1/2" -1"
TOPII Forage Mix suppresses weed competition in new
seeded alfalfa, as well as providing excellent early forage.
Fertilizer Requirements: 60# -80# per acre N.P.K.
Field peas will supplement nitrogen requirements needed for lush growth.
TOPII Forage Mix is ready to harvest in
55-60 days
after planting.
TOPII Forage
Mix can be harvested as forage and silage bales.
