TRICAL® 815 WINTER TRITICALE

Primary Use:

High quality dairy silage harvested before heading.

Features

High protein and high digestibility.  Shown to have overall outstanding true digestibility (IVTD).

Excellent source of digestible fiber that is vital for health and productivity of dairy cows.

Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), a commonly used              measure of forage fiber,  consists of some compounds    that are readily digested by rumen bacteria in the dairy animal, and others that are not.  The digestible fiber (dNDF) provides energy along with the benefits of fiber for rumen health.  TRICAL® 815 receives high ratings for dNDF.

Reaches boot stage earlier (approx. 10 days earlier)than TRICAL® 102 (PVP-1994).  Good winter hardiness.  Top performer in Cornell cereal grain trials.  Planting early, offers fall grazing, then harvest in spring.  This is an annual crop to be seeded in the fall and harvested in the spring.

High silage yields.

Yielded 35% more boot stage forage than wheat in recent University tests.  Dense, leafy growth.
